HoneyPieKids is excited to introduce you to Abel & Lula, a chic children’s clothing brand carried at our boutique. This distinctive brand is elegant and very cosmopolitan, yet wearable and simple aiming to make special occasions even more special. This brand creates special items for special occasions, but focuses on pieces that don’t look like what everyone else is wearing. These dresses and accessories are wear-again (and again) because of the quality and thought put into each design. These are pieces that get passed along because they hold up to wear over time. Abel & Lula is always a favorite of parents who shop at Honey Pie Kids for a few reasons. 

High Quality

Abel & Lula are well-made pieces. The design and craft that goes into each piece are meticulous, yet Abel & Lula knows that even at a fancy event kids need to play, so their designs are event and play tested. They pride themselves on wearable, comfortable cuts so kids don’t have to tug and pull at parts of the clothes. Their fabrics are hand selected with thought towards longevity and style. Abel & Lula knows kids will be experiencing new things for the first time, and they want to create opportunities for parents and children who all enjoy getting ready for a nice event together. 

Details

Each Abel & Lula piece comes with personality. Some of the colors and prints are bright, but stand out for their winsome beauty. Other pieces are not patterned, but have detailed overlays or lace detailing on the breezy sleeves. The bows, ruffles and pointelle details add feminine touches in just the right places. Their pieces have a mature and sophisticated air about them making the wearer look very grown up and put together. We love (and sell) their flower-adorned straw hats as well as their coordinating bags. Though Honey Pie Kids sells many of their sleeveless dresses, we love that Abel & Lula makes corresponding faux-fur jackets to pop over the top in the winter.

We love the flexibility and innovation of Abel & Lula designs. Instead of only making dresses, we appreciate the crepe jumpsuit and coordinating accessories. The asymmetrical top with ruched strap, snappy matching belt, and long, flowing pants legs make this piece perfect for a wedding, recital or church. The color looks great with any complexion, and for fun, it would look perfect paired with a hat and a bag. It’s easy to see Abel & Lula’s artisan spirit in this modern piece. Another piece we can’t get over is the jacquard shorts dress. This is the perfect marriage between dress and shorts for the active girl who might not love to get dressed up, yet she’ll still look fabulous at the party.
